Diana Ruiz will address women’s leadership development in honor of International Women’s Day

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (MARCH 12, 2019) – Women’s Global Leadership Initiative (WGLI) announces
that its Founder, Diana Ruiz, will speak at World Affairs: Amplifying Women’s Voices Event on
March 12, 2019 in San Francisco. The forum is hosted by World Affairs, in partnership with
Women’s Global Leadership Initiative, IGNITE and Global Fund for Women.

Event attendees can expect to celebrate International Women’s Day with a diverse lineup of
speakers who are committed to women’s development and empowerment.

The event will feature a conversation with a panel of powerhouse women leaders, sharing their
personal journeys and engaging in a diverse range of issues. The phenomenal women featured in
this event will be given a platform to share their views on the current societal landscape, address
issues they constantly strive to improve, and impart knowledge on how to empower other female
leaders and community members.

Diana Ruiz, CEO of Women’s Global Leadership Initiative (WGLI) will speak about the importance of
localized efforts in amplifying women’s voices globally. Her philosophy is that in order to provide
women with the tools to become self-sufficient and engage in personal development, we must
provide women with access to community partner organizations that have the resources to build
infrastructure and address needs according to local cultural norms. “I’m proud to be part of such an
important event at such a critical time in history” says Ruiz, “and I’m honored to speak on women’s
issues that will greatly impact the next generation of women leaders.”

The event will be held at World Affairs Auditorium, 312 Sutter Street, Suite 200, San Francisco,
from 6:30pm – 8pm. The event is free for members and $10 for non-members. Register here to
