Graduate Equity Fellowship Award!
A WGLI Alumnae Tasneem Mohamed has been able to overcome obstacles that may have deterred others. We believe that it is Tasneem’s sense of purpose, duty and focus to serve that has propelled toward excellence.
As Academic Advisor for the Social Behavioral Sciences and Global Studies degrees, Tasmeen has been awarded a Graduate Equity Fellowship Award, from the Division of Research and Graduate Studies at California State University at Fresno. Ms. Mohamed has recently completed her first year in the Doctorate of Educational Leadership program at CSU Fresno. She is interested in research to identify effective strategies to overcome socio-cultural and environmental barriers that adversely impact the retention and graduation rates of student-parents. Ms. Mohamed’s professional goals include working in academic leadership to address equity and inclusion at all levels and to improve academic outcomes among students from vulnerable populations.
