We move into 2022 with new awareness and direction

As the pandemic caused deep uncertainty within the labor force, Women’s Global Leadership Initiative is thankful we’ve endured the 2021 shifts in labor by transitioning into online-accessible organization, and we’re eager to continue focusing on women-specific development programs. With the introspection COVID-19 has brought forth, WGLI developed three pillars to stand by:

Mentorship

We’ve thought deeply about the importance of listening to those we mentor and extending mentorship into the communities around us. We look forward to a 2022 of events, workshops, and articles that explore mentorship and what standards need to be present to make a program truly successful for the benefit of women leaders across the globe.

Community

The pandemic provided us the opportunity to question what we are bringing to our communities. To uphold community as an active avenue to listen, advocate and teach, we are planning a community highlight series, building new connections with organizations, and growing networks of female leaders in the post-pandemic workforce.

Personal Development

Especially now, personal development is essential to expanding accessibility and opportunity. To give women the knowledge and confidence to engage and flourish in society, we plan to deliver new blog posts and events on this topic. We are also thrilled to initiate a new podcast project that will discuss subtopics like mental health and wellness, emotional intelligence, personal growth, etc.!

With the mindfulness gained from 2021, we are sure the birth of these pillars will shape a 2022 that is intentional, full of growth and better opportunities.
