San Francisco, California, May 9, 2017 — This week, the WGLI announced a major presence at the Women’s Economic Forum, a global gathering and international movement of leadership and empowerment in New Delhi, India.  Dr. Pamela Sitienei, a member of the WGLI Global Advisory Board, will be one of the influential speakers at the event. The week-long conference held from May 8th-13th at the Pullman-Novotel Hotel is considered to be the world’s fastest growing global conference. The aim of the conference is to foster empowering conversations and connections among women committed to foster constructive change in all walks of life. The WGLI is also proud to be a sponsor for the annual Women’s Economic Forum (WEF) conference.

WEF is filled with powerful conversations and workshops pertaining to leadership, social impact, collaboration, and networking. With presentations planned from a robust and diverse set of international guest speakers the conference will celebrate diversity, uniqueness, and embrace all cultures. WEF events take place throughout the year and across the world, igniting women to expand their business opportunities and increase their global influence.

In addition to being a WGLI member of the Global Advisory Board, Dr. Sitienei is the founder and CEO of African Energy Association, a non-profit organization of high-level energy advocates working to unlock access to energy resources and enhance energy supply in Africa and beyond. She has over 13 years of multi-faceted experience in government relations, foreign relations, international trade, financial services, energy, commodity trading and negotiations. With an impeccable track record for structuring complex deals around the globe with major corporations, governments and high-ranking officials she is positioned well to speak about fostering change. Dr. Sitienei sets an example for women globally and is a crucial advisor to WGLI and its mission.

WGLI is pleased to support WEF because it is value aligned through encouraging all women from any economic influence, background, or societal status to come together on a single platform to work towards their overall economic development and prosperity. WGLI and WEF share similar values in creating a dynamic opportunity for women to help increase global influences and business opportunities through networking with women, men, and businesses across the borders. Bringing inspiration through successful leaders, entrepreneurs, speakers, diplomats, policymakers, and professionals is a life time experience that WEF has made possible with the help of WGLI and others.

About WEF

The vision remains philanthropic, the spirit non-profit and the mode collaborative. We are here to unleash the power of one through the power of oneness. And we ALL enjoy the co-creation very much as it is about truly walking the talk on being the change we wish to see. We believe that all speakers will gain a lot in terms of networking, learning and exploring new opportunities across our annual and regional events. We do not charge high conference fees, have no sponsors, and membership to ALL is also free. This is because we want to include as many women in the circle of inspiration and be part of the chain of change.

About WGLI

Women’s Global Leadership Initiative (WGLI) inspires and trains women around the globe to become successful leaders in their communities, workplace and associations. We work with partners both locally and internationally to expand our reach and implement programs to change women’s lives.
